Stage Miracles was founded by three friends who met at Middlesex University – Martin Knight, Clive Ambler and Les Clifford. From humble beginnings with just the three crew of Mart, Clive and Les the company has gone from strength to strength. With a work force that now numbers in the thousands working on different jobs throughout the world, many faces have been “On the Books” at Stage Miracles over the years. Much of the success of Stage Miracles can be attributed to the extended Miracles network as many of our employers of today were employees in the past.
Stage Miracles has been a way into the industry for many an aspiring production manager and touring professional who have used the experiences and skills they have acquired whilst working with us to go on and become prominent figures in our industry. This is and always has been a great source of pride for all those associated with Stage Miracles and we hope and expect many of our younger members to continue this trend for years to come.
It was with great sadness that of the founding partners Les Clifford passed away in 1998. He was a larger than life character in the industry, known and loved by all that met him. It was appropriate that the backstage area in Wembley Arena was renamed in his honor as he could be found there at many shows engaging everyone with his stories.
With the reopening of Wembley Stadium, a new O2 centre and the return of the big stadium shows to London the future is looking extremely busy for everyone at Stage Miracles alongside the diverse amount of events that are planned throughout the capital in the months ahead.
Many changes have been seen over the years in the entertainment industry but one of the few constant has been Stage Miracles – The UK’s most established crewing company.
